BROWN SWISS ASSOCIATION CANCELS 2020 NATIONAL CONVENTION IN NEW ENGLAND.
VIRTUAL MEETING FOR THE MEMBERSHIP WILL BE HELD.
Beloit, Wisconsin, April 16, 2020 - The Brown Swiss Cattle Breeders’ Association (BSCBA) board of directors voted Thursday, to cancel the 2020 BSCBA National Convention Meetings to be held in Hadley, Mass., June 30 – July 3.
Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, the board and staff of the association, with the support of our hosts the New England Association, felt it is in the best interest of all parties to cancel a face-to-face meeting and move to a virtual business meeting for the membership this summer.
“This unique decision is essential to protect the health and safety of our staff, board members, and breeders as well as the financial stability of our Association,” said Norman C. Magnussen, Executive Secretary of the Brown Swiss Cattle Breeders’ Association.
The board and BSCBA staff have begun planning virtual business meetings to be held July 2. Elections of directors and President of the BSCBA will still be conducted as planned. Details for having an Annual meeting are being worked out. Additional information will be forth coming on how to participate in the meeting. We are not alone in having to make these unprecedented decisions.
