Problem with CDCB Genetic Evaluation data run
CDCB sent out an email last night – stating they had issues with a particular file (info below).
Dear all,
In checking the files shared on Tuesday afternoon after the inconvenience that excluded foreign animals with age > 15MO and AI service fees paid, Semex raised a concern over the same group of animals in the CT file. After thorough investigation, we confirmed Semex's concerns resulting in the bug having a larger impact than expected.
The exclusion of these animals from the genomic files determined that these foreign animals received a PA for calving traits, instead of a gPTA, in the file CT.itb.zip (containing file 1712.CTeval.itb) and got their US data excluded from our Interbull submission.
CDCB has now regenerated the CT.itb.zip, which is now available in our public FTP.
Please note that since input data has slightly changed since the time the evaluation was first run, some animals that were not affected by this foreign animals issue received a very slight variation in their PTA (+- 0.1) due to rounding.
All our further checking has not evidenced any impact on formats 38/105 or data shared in our queries.
We’d like to thank Steven Larmer from Semex for identifying the misalignment.
Once more, we deeply apologize for the inconvenience. CDCB staff is already at work to improve our checking system in order to ensure this issue does not happening again.
Best regards,
Ezequiel
